  • “We are such stuff as dreams are made on…”

Prospero rules an unknowable island full of strange noises and stranger encounters. When an opportunity arises to take revenge on past enemies, she summons a storm to shipwreck them. What follows combines the epic and intimate, magical and domestic and asks of us, when time is short, what does it mean to be human?

Pared back to a thrilling 90-minutes, this will be an exciting production of Shakespeare’s final play, combining dynamic ensemble performances and live music with the vibrancy of Shakespeare’s language.

Directed by Off-West End Award nominee Amy Draper and designed by Off-West End award winner Ele Slade, this production will be suitable for everyone aged 10 and above.

This production is kindly supported by The Topinambour Trust, St Olave’s & St Saviour’s Schools Foundation, The Unity Theatre Trust and The Ernest Cook Trust.

  • “‘Draper’s skilful adaptation focuses on growing up, letting go and forgiveness…(a) thoughtful production, which forgoes fancy special effects for characters you really root for “ Time Out

“… this 90-minute show delivers an enchanting and emotionally charged Tempest “ Whatsonstage

“‘Invigorating, rhythmic staging, setting a high standard for fringe Shakespeare productions’.” The Stage

“A terrific ensemble performance in a lively & well-constructed re-imagining of a Shakespeare classic – it will go down a storm!” Mind the Blog

“Incredibly simple, with a cast of six, little set, few props, but tremendously well done. The small cast has great chemistry and everything is well-timed, well-rehearsed and adeptly executed…A refreshingly gimmick-free and inventive production.” Britishtheatre.com
