Two Million Pound Wall
So what's it all about then?
Southwark Playhouse needs to raise three million quid to fit-out its new pad. So far, we’ve raised just over a third and we need help from you lovely people to raise the rest. Southwark Playhouse’s ‘Two Million Pound Wall’ is a way that you can offload some of your hard-earned spondoolicks towards making our new permanent home a reality.
What do I get for my donation?
First and foremost you’ll feel a nice warm glow but also in return for your donation we will mark your support on a featured wall in the front of house area of our new building.
Now, don’t roll your eyes, it doesn’t have to be your name that goes on the wall. It can be any design you want. Taking inspiration from the ‘Million Dollar Homepage’ we have created the ‘Two Million Pound Wall’. It has been divided in to 40,000 equal segments and for a donation of just £50 we will print your custom design on one of the sections.
And if you’re feeling generous and want to buy more than one segment we can add the segments together giving you a larger area for a more customised and prominent design. Your design could be anything: a photo, a slogan, a logo, or even (if you want to stick with tradition) just your name. Oh, in case you’re asking, the designs will be lovingly printed on some gorgeous bits of timber, probs oak.
Once the wall is filled not only will it represent the important part you played in successfully raising £2m and securing Southwark Playhouse’s future, but you will also have been part of creating an awesome crowd generated artwork that will take pride of place in the front of house of our flagship venue at the Elephant & Castle for at least the first 5 years of operating.
In a world of walls that divide people why not invest in one that brings people together?
