Seating Allocation
Southwark Playhouse operates an allocated seating policy in The Large, and an unallocated seating policy in The Little. Every seat in The Large and The Little has a clear and unobstructed view of the stage.
Occasionally a small number of seats may be held for our ushers, patrons with restricted mobility, or members of the press on scheduled press nights.
For the best chance of ensuring your party sits together in The Little please arrive at the venue well in advance of the house opening (at least half an hour before the show starts.)
Returning Tickets
Returned tickets will only be sold once all Southwark Playhouse seats are sold out, and if the tickets were purchased through Southwark Playhouse Box Office.
All tickets are returned on the understanding that we cannot guarantee to re-sell any returned tickets. We can only re-sell tickets for the value printed on the ticket.
If you cannot use your tickets you can call us, email us, or notify us in person at the box office, and we will attempt to re-sell them in the order they were returned to us.
If you are attending the performance and have returned a ticket to us for resale then please check back with us at the interval or after the performance to see if it has been sold.
If we have sold it we will provide you with a cash refund. If you are not at the performance to collect your refund, please call us on the next working day to check if your ticket was sold, on 020 7407 0234.
Cash that has not been collected within three months will be considered a donation to our theatre’s work.
Purchasing Returned Tickets
If you wish to purchase a returned ticket you will need to put your name on a returns list which opens in person at box office two hours before the performance starts. Ticket purchases are limited to two per person.
We will ask you to check back with us prior to the start of the show for an update on returned tickets. We may not be able to seat you until shortly before the show starts. Please be patient. Tickets will be re-sold to customers in order of names on the returns list. If you are not present when we call your name, we will move on to the next person on the list.
We only accept cash as payment for returned tickets – we are unable to accept any other form of payment.
We reserve the right to refuse admission.
Exchanging Tickets
Tickets that were purchased through Southwark Playhouse Box Office can be exchanged for another performance of the same production if tickets are returned to the box office at least one working day before the original performance date (office hours: Mon-Fri 10am-6pm). An administration charge of £2 per ticket will apply. This service is subject to ticket availability.
Tickets are non-refundable unless a performance is cancelled.
Latecomers
Latecomers may be asked to wait in the foyer until an appropriate moment in the production. If there is no appropriate moment and admittance will cause disruption, latecomers may be refused entry. No refund or exchange will be offered,
